About Abel Mendoza Malvasía

Located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, one of the areas with the highest wine quality in the D.O.Ca.Rioja, Bodega Abel Mendoza Monge, was founded in 1988.
Its approximately 20 hectares of vineyards are distributed over 35 plots in the municipalities of San Vicente, Ábalos and Labastida. They apply an ecological viticulture.
Abel Mendoza Malvasía is a delicate, subtle and structured monovarietal wine. The must ferments in new French oak barrels, where it ages for 4-5 months on its lees.

2021

Abel Mendoza Malvasía 2021 is an aromatic white, exuding elegance and subtlety. It boasts a bright straw-yellow hue, and on the nose, it unfolds with refined aromatic layers of floral scents, white fruits (apricot), and citrus (lemon), intertwined with herbaceous undertones and a hint of balsamic. On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, fresh, with silky tannins. It possesses a vibrant, tasty, and well-balanced acidity. The finish is lengthy and persistent, concluding with a slightly bitter nuance.
