About Tequila Aguascalientes

On October 10, 1914, the Sovereign Convention was being celebrated in Aguascalientes. This assembly, convened at the Morelos Theater in the city, brought together Venustiano Carranza (President of Mexico) with Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata (the two revolutionary leaders), with the aim of establishing the political and social framework for the forthcoming government. It is this historic event to which Antonio Nadal Destilerías pays tribute with its Tequila Aguascalientes.

An exceptionally meticulous distillation process and the selection of the finest agaves are the cornerstone secrets behind Tequila Aguascalientes. These plants are cultivated with the utmost care until they reach optimal maturity. At this point, the piñas (the term for the heart of the plant) are extracted and manually cut. The next steps involve traditional stone ovens and the extraction of the juice which will then undergo fermentation.

Tequila Aguascalientes is fermented in state-of-the-art copper stills with a capacity of around 1,200 liters and is then left to age in oak barrels. Simply an astonishing tequila!
