About Antoine Lienhardt Nuits-Saint-Georges

Antoine Lienhardt Nuits-Saint-Georges is a natural red wine aged in wood, crafted by Antoine Lienhardt using the pinot noir variety in AOC Nuits-Saint-Georges/Côte-d'Or, in Burgundy (France). 
 
When Antoine Lienhardt took over his grandfather's 4.2 hectares of vineyards in the village of Comblanchien, he realised that the modest Côte de Nuits was not receiving the recognition it deserved. Consequently, he began cultivating the vines as though they were Grand Crus, employing and biodynamic practices and vinifying with minimal intervention. As a result, Antoine has swiftly emerged as a talented new-generation winemaker in Burgundy. 
 
Antoine Lienhardt Nuits-Saint-Georges originates from two vineyards situated south of Comblanchien, characterised by stony clay and limestone soils. The vines, over 60 years old, are tended without chemical products, and minimal ploughing is done to maintain the natural balance of the terroir. Harvesting is done manually, with selection taking place directly in the vineyard.
 
In the winery, whole clusters are used for the vinification of Antoine Lienhardt Nuits-Saint-Georges. Initially, they undergo a maceration period of 15 days, and fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts and no sulphur. Subsequently, the wine matures in French oak barrels for 16 months, a small percentage of which are new. 
 
Antoine Lienhardt Nuits-Saint-Georges exemplifies the empowerment of Côte de Nuits. A true Burgundy, brimming with vitality, purity, and exuberance.
 
2019

Antoine Lienhardt Nuits-Saint-Georges 2019 is a smooth red wine with a nose of black fruit and notes of faded roses. On the palate it is balanced, bright and energetic. A wine with marked tannins, bright acidity and a formidable mineral length.
