About Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs Brut Gran Reserva

Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs Brut Gran Reserva is part of the new Ars Collecta collection crafted by the winery Codorníu from its finest vineyards. These are three limited edition brut Gran Reserva cavas, born from the expertise and craftsmanship of a winery with over 500 years of history.


Under the guidance of its oenologist Bruno Colomer, Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs is produced using pinot noir and trepat, cultivated in an inland region with a continental climate, and xarel·lo which originates in the Mediterranean area of Penedès. The vineyards are located in plots with distinctly different characteristics, where the climate imparts the specific qualities each variety requires to achieve its fullest expression.

The varieties in the cava Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs Brut Gran Reserva begin to be harvested in early August during the night to preserve the intrinsic properties of the grapes. Once in the winery, a gentle pressing is carried out using a pneumatic press, and the must is fermented in small batches at a constant temperature of 17°C. Following the blend, the bottles are placed deep within the cellar to commence the natural process of the second fermentation for 35 months. After this period, the sediments are removed through riddling and disgorging. Subsequently, expedition liqueur is added, and the bottle is sealed with a cork stopper.

Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs Brut Gran Reserva is a cava with fine, delicate bubbles, distinguished by the elegance imparted by the predominant pinot noir variety and the complexity provided by such an extended aging period.

Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs 2017 is a dry sparkling wine (less than 12 g/L of sugar). On the nose, white flowers and red fruits emerge. On the palate, it is creamy and delicate, with body and freshness. Long finish.
2015 Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs 2015 is a cava  brut Gran Reserva with great aromatic richness and complexity. White flowers and red fruit can be detected on the nose. On the palate it is unctuous, elegant and lingering.
