About Artífice Listán Tinto

Artífice Listan Tinto is a red wine from the D.O. Ycoden-Daute-Isora produced by Borja Pérez Viticultor on the island of Tenerife.


Borja Pérez is a winemaker located in the northern area of Tenerife. After standing out for his previous project Ignios, he has decided to create more accessible wines under the label Artífice. He produces wines with local varieties, always respecting the grape's features. Soils comprised of ashes and rocks prevail in the area, with a climate that is clearly under the influence of the Atlantic Ocean.


The production of Artífice Listan Tinto starts by fermenting the must at a controlled temperature in stainless steel deposits, with long maceration processes, little intervention, and with local yeasts of each variety. Ageing for 12 months in third use French oak barrels gives it its final refinement.

This wine's body is a Listán Negro from old vines, which alongside the shades of Vijariego Negro and Baboso Negro, all combined in barrels made from woods of different French forests, result in this amiable wine, with extreme finesse, but that expresses all the strength of the volcanic landscape of the area.

Artífice Listan Tinto 2018 is an expressive, elegant and fresh wine. Floral notes and black fruit aromas stand out on a mineral background with salty hints.
