About Aurora d'Espiells Rosé

Aurora d'Espiells Rosé is a rosé wine crafted by the winery Juvé & Camps within the D.O. Penedès. This is a century-old winery in the Penedès region, located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona).

Aurora d'Espiells Rosé is a blend of the pinot noir and sauvignon blanc varieties. The grapes of all varieties are sourced from the winery's own estate in Espiells.

The pinot noir variety is harvested first, and after a gentle pressing, it is left to rest with its lees while it begins to develop body and soften its colour. When the time comes for the sauvignon blanc, its grapes undergo a brief skin maceration before being combined with the pinot noir, and together they ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The result is a harmonious and balanced rosé wine, where the delicacy of the pinot noir and the freshness of the sauvignon blanc are in perfect harmony, ready to surprise and captivate with every sip.

The wine's name, Aurora, is inspired by its pale pink hue, reminiscent of the sky's colour during the early hours of dawn.

2018 Aurora d'Espiells Rosé 2018 is a vibrant rosé wine bursting with red and black fruit notes complemented by exquisite floral nuances. On the palate, it presents a fruit-forward profile, silky texture, and an invigorating freshness. It exhibits a lively acidity and a long, delightful finish.
2014 Light, silky and fruity. Refreshing and sweet with flavours of red fruit. Good acidity. Lingering finish.

Soft and delicate pink, like the light of dawn.

Medium to high intensity. Aromas of ripe red fruit (currants, raspberries and cherries) floral notes, minerals and herbs. Some complexity.
2013 On the palate it is silky, refreshing, light and fruity. A long and persistent finish.

By sight it is an elegant and delicate pink colour. Clean and bright.

On the nose the result is complex and intriguing. Red current, raspberries and cherry are mixed with floral notes.
