Tasting notes Campari Bitter 70cl
Liqueurs (70 cl.).
Campari has a bright and intense red colour. The nose has aromas of herbs and orange peel. On the palate it has an intense bitter taste with citrus notes of orange and a bittersweet finish.
About Campari Bitter
Campari is a liqueur made by the Campari Group in Italy that is part of the bitters family but with a lower alcohol percentage.
The Campari Group was set up by Gaspare Campari in 1860 when he invented a new drink with a bitter taste and a red colour. An aperitif that won over high society and became fashionable throughout Europe. Currently, Campari is a large Italian group with a portfolio of more than 40 brands of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Although Campari's recipe is still a secret, we know that quinine, rhubarb, bitter orange, spirits and sugar syrup are some of the 60 ingredients. It stands out for its bright red colour that comes from a dye made from cochineal.
Campari is a timeless aperitif. A bitter pleasure with endless possibilities for mixing and pairing.
