About Ceretto Barbaresco Bernadot

Ceretto is an ecological, barrel-aged red wine made in the DOCG Barbaresco (Piedmont) with the Nebbiolo variety by the Ceretto winery.

Founded in 1937 by Riccardo Ceretto, this winery is a leading producer of Piedmont wine. Thanks to their wide range of vineyards and wineries, it perfectly reflects the richness that exists in the Le Langhe area. Riccardo’s successor Alessandro Ceretto is now in charge of producing certified wines that perfectly express the terroir.

Ceretto Barbaresco Bernadot comes from a splendid 4.8-hectare vineyard located in the town of Treiso (Piedmont). It is a small natural amphitheater that forms a particular microclimate at 400 metres above sea level. The vines are cultivated using farming and biodynamic treatments. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

When the grape reaches the winery, it is carefully selected before vinification. Then the Ceretto Barbaresco Bernadot grapes macerate for a long time for maximum extraction, followed by fermentation at high temperatures. The wine then ages for 24 months in large oak barrels and finally rests for a while longer in the bottle before being released for sale.

Ceretto Barbaresco Bernadot is a red wine with an aromatic, elegant and wild profile. A true ambassador for Piedmont.
2014 Ceretto Barbaresco Bernadot 2014 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of wild berries, black fruit and dried flowers, spicy notes and mineral touches. On the palate it is opulent, structured and very elegant. With rounded tannins and delicate intensity.
