About Dominique Lafon Bourgogne Blanc

Dominique Lafon Bourgogne Blanc is a single-variety Chardonnay white wine produced by Dominique Lafon in the A.O.C. Bourgogne in Burgundy, France.

Dominique Lafon is a renowned winemaker who, in 2008, started making his own wines separately from the family winery, Domaine des Comtes Lafon, which has the deepest and coldest wine cellars in Burgundy.

To make the Dominique Lafon Bourgogne Blanc wine, the bunches are pressed whole and placed in a tank for 24 hours. Fermentation takes place in used oak barrels. The resulting wine stays in the winery for two winters before being bottled and sold.

Dominique Lafon is a leading producer in Meursault, making some of the best dry Burgundy whites that are deep, complex and highly balanced.

2019

Dominique Lafon Bourgogne Blanc 2019 is a medium-bodied white wine, fresh and vibrant. Its aromatic profile is characterised by notes of citrus, white flowers, and freshly baked bread, accompanied by hints of ripe apple and pear. On the palate, its minerality is perfectly balanced with the juiciness of the citrus fruits, while its finish reveals a delicate saline note that imparts a distinctive and refreshing touch.
2017 Dominique Lafon Bourgogne Blanc 2017 is a profiled white wine with aromas of ripe pears and apples on the nose accompanied by a mineral nuance and a salty note. On the palate it is perfectly balanced between a fresh minerality and the juicy citrus flavours. The finish reveals a subtle and characteristic salty note.
