About El Chaparral

El Chaparral is a red wine from the Navarra prepared by Bodegas y Viñedos Nekeas. It is a varietal Grenache.

The grapes come from vines between 70 and 100 years old. For final assembly, the plots are carefully selected, this is why the volume of production is different depending on the vintage.

Each plot is fermented separately. Maceration lasts 20 days and at least 8 of these are cold. Malolactic fermentation and aging takes place after 5-6 months.

Bodegas y Viñedos Nekeas was established in 1989, when eight families from Añorbe jointly decided to plant 150 hectares of vineyards. The marketing of wine began in 1992 and today the winery has more than 250 acres.

2012 Varietal and fruity with ripe tannins.

Bright cherry garnet tints.

Balanced aromas. Predominant touches of red and ripe fruit and fine cocoa.
2011 In the mouth, it is a tasty, varietal and fruity wine with ripe tannins.

Bright cherry red colour with maroon edge.

Balanced aroma. Red fruits, ripe fruit and fine cocoa predominate.
2008 Powerful wine with a balanced and structured way. Very expressive wine, with sweet and powerful tannins. Return all the aromas found in the nose. Final long and persistent.

Dark cherry color with garnet edge.

Very good aromatic intensity with its outstanding red and black fruits ripe. Toasted and balsamic notes with touches of herbs, flowers and spices (vanilla) and licorice.
2007 Mouth is fresh, fruity, tasty, creamy and balsamic powerful.

Cerise, garnet edge.

Fresh fruit aroma, fine cocoa, creamy oak.
