Havana Club Añejo 3 Años Rum carries the essence and spirit of the Caribbean Sea island like no other in the world. Made with local cane sugar molasses and aged on site, this drink is the perfect starting point for those who love Cuban cocktails. This process greatly progressed in Cuba during the 20th century, when bartenders, known as cantineros, began to use Cuban rums in their blends. This was due to the arrival of column stills in distilleries at the end of the previous century, producing much lighter and fresher spirits. The rest of its reputation came from Americans, who during the Prohibition era would escape to Cuba to taste these blends.

The first step in the production of Havana Club Añejo 3 Años Rum is the selection of the best, high quality ingredients, where sugar cane molasses stands out. This mixture is fermented naturally and then distilled in copper column stills. Finally, Havana Club Añejo 3 Años Rum is aged in white oak barrels (for at least three years) and blended according to the rum master’s criteria.
