The Artemis Karamolegos winery, nestled in the picturesque village of Exo Gonia (Greece), is the soul of this creation. With roots dating back to 1952 and a philosophy that honours the past while embracing innovation, Artemis has turned the volcanic soil of Santorini into its living laboratory. Here, the vine is cultivated in a basket-like shape, a traditional method known as kouloura, which protects the grapes from the winds, maintaining a profound respect for nature and the family legacy. The winery combines artisanal methods with modern techniques to unveil the richness and complexity that only such a unique terroir can offer.
 
Karamolegos 34 is a 100% assyrtiko white wine crafted from century-old vines scattered across five of the island's most emblematic villages. Its vinification process is a masterpiece of balance: a partial pre-fermentative maceration, fermentation of the free-run juice divided between stainless steel, old barrels, concrete, and clay amphorae, and a minimum twelve-month ageing on lees that imparts depth and texture. The result is a vibrant and elegant white wine, with a firm structure and a mineral expression that reflects the strength and freshness of the volcanic soil.
