About Volador de Josep Grau Viticultor

LVolador is a red wine from  D.O. Montsant produced by Josep Grau Viticultor.


This wine is a coupage of garnacha, and samsó grown from a 25 hectare vineyard with old vines from 30 to 80 years old. As for the production, it is fermented in cement tanks where it remains for 6 months.

As a result, Volador (flying effect in Catalan) is obtained, a young, fresh and vital wine whose effect is what its name describes, it makes you fly.

2022

Volador 2022 is a smooth red wine. Cherry red colour with garnet reflections. The nose is very aromatic, with a strong mineral phase complemented by spicy and vegetal notes. On the palate it is fresh, very light and pleasant.
2019

L'efecte volador 2019 is a supple red wine, bursting with profound aromas of dark berries, herbal undertones, and a spicy nuance. On the palate, it presents as youthful, vibrant, and flavorsome. This wine boasts a well-balanced acidity, velvety tannins, and an underlying minerality.
2014 Opening is strong and warming. Passing is very moreish and flavoursome, good presence of ripe fruit. Sweet tannins and good acidity. Long finish.

Red cherry, full robe with garnet reflections.

Good intensity, aromas of black fruit with spicy and vegetal notes. Mineral base.
