Mombasa Club Colonel's Reserve is a crystalline London Dry gin, where the harmony of its botanicals unfolds gracefully: cassia, caraway, and the exotic calamus blend with a floral and citrus touch of coriander, while juniper discreetly accompanies. On the palate, it captivates with a silky texture and a subtle sweet echo, leaving a persistent and well-balanced finish, a reflection of prolonged and meticulous maceration. About Mombasa Club Colonel's Reserve London Dry Gin

At the close of the 19th century, when the British Empire was expanding its trade routes between the East and the West, the port city of Mombasa, located opposite the island of Zanzibar, became a meeting point for explorers, officers, and adventurers. It was there, in 1885, that the exclusive Mombasa Club was founded, a private social club where news was exchanged, discussions held, and a gin specially distilled in England was enjoyed by its members. From that restless and romantic spirit emerges today Mombasa Club Gin, a liquid homage to an era defined by exploration and social ritual.
 
Mombasa Club Gin retains this historical legacy as an elegant evocation of classic English style. Its philosophy is inspired by the tradition of London Dry Gin, reviving the sober and refined character that defined club beverages, meant to be savoured with leisure, conversation, and camaraderie. The Mombasa Club Colonel's Reserve edition pays tribute to that breed of officers and pioneers, enhancing the aromatic intensity and complexity of the original recipe.
 
Crafted from the finest rectified alcohol, this gin is macerated overnight with seven carefully selected botanicals, among which caraway seed, coriander, and the unique calamus stand out, an uncommon aquatic plant that provides a distinctive aromatic profile. After maceration, it is distilled in small stainless steel stills designed by the historic London manufacturer John Dore, and left to rest for ten days to achieve a harmonious and precise botanical fusion. The result is a gin of the London Dry style, with a higher proof, intense and elegant, with a pronounced classic character.
