About Oloroso Almirante 15 años

Oloroso Almirante 15 años is a generous wine produced by the Marqués del Real Tesoro winery in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry.

The origin of the Marqués del Real Tesoro winery dates back to 1897 when the grandson of the first marquis acquired his first soleras from the Count of Villacreces, who was the owner of soleras that were over 200 years old.

From here begins its expansion thanks to its exceptional wines from Jerez that has its origin in those old soleras, becoming suppliers of the Royal House.

In 1982 the winery was bought by the José Estévez Group, thereby becoming a part of one of the most important winemaking groups in the country.

Oloroso Almirante 15 años is an Oloroso made with Palomino Fino grapes from vineyards located in the Marco de Jerez.

This Oloroso is fermented in stainless steel vats and once fortified to 18.50% vol. alc. it undergoes an oxidative ageing of at least 15 years in old American oak barrels, with the traditional system of one solera and five criaderas.

Oloroso Almirante 15 años is an intense, deep and balanced Oloroso. The nose is dominated by aromas of nuts, walnuts and toasted almonds. In the mouth it is structured, smooth on the palate and highly complex.
