About Partida Creus Sumoll

Partida Creus Sumoll is a red wine without denomination of origin produced by Celler Partida Creus in Bonastre (Baix Penedés), Tarragona.

  

Celler Partida Creus is a small winery created by Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori in an industrial warehouse that was renovated with recycled materials. Partners and producers of Slow Food, they also apply this philosophy to the vines. They respect nature to the maximum extent and recover old traditions in the lands where they cultivate. Small plots with a narrow plantation scheme, avoiding the use of invasive mechanical work. They avoid using chemical treatments and focus on biodynamic cycles and moon phases. This way they achieve a very limited production of grapes with an excellent biological quality.

 

Partida Creus Sumoll is a wine without D.O. made from Sumoll from a plot that is over 70 years old, planted on clayey-calcareous soils and with a marked Mediterranean climate. They are manually harvested and placed in small boxes. 50% is destemmed and macerated for 3 days. It is fermented with native yeasts. This wine is aged for 8 months in stainless steel, plus a minimum of 5 months in the bottle. Without added sulphur dioxide.

 

 

2019

Partida Creus Sumoll 2019 is an intense and structured red wine. The nose presents notes of undergrowth, vegetables (fennel, thyme, dried carob) and a certain minerality. On the palate it is acidic and spicy. Fresh, elegant and delicate.
2018 Partida Creus Sumoll 2018 is an intense, structured and fresh wine. On the nose, the ripe black fruit stands out on a flowery background. In the mouth it is easy to drink and long lasting.
