About Suertes del Marqués Vidonia V.P.

In the Valle de La Orotava on the enchanting island of Tenerife, Suertes del Marqués cultivates the essence of Atlantic wines. As a family-run winery, it has committed from the outset to traditional viticulture with minimal intervention, where ancient vineyards, tended using the Cordón Trenzado system, delve deep into unique volcanic soils. Its dedication to authenticity and quality has established it as an international benchmark, being the only winery in the Canary Islands recognised among the 100 Best Wineries in the World by Wine & Spirits in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Its wines, available in over 40 countries, reflect their passion for the terroir and respect for tradition.
 
Produced exclusively with the listán blanco variety from a centuries-old plot in Paraje Las Suertes, Suertes del Marqués Vidonia V.P. (V.P. stands for "viñedos propios") pays homage to the historic Vidonia of the 17th century, the name by which wines from Tenerife made in the northern part of the island from lesser-known varieties were known; an exclusive interpretation of this terroir.
 
On this plot, the combination of sand and clay imparts character and depth to this white wine. Its fermentation in 500-litre barrels from the prestigious Austrian cooperage Stockinger, one of Europe's great artisanal coopers, lends it complexity and elegance. Its barrel ageing enhances its structure and harmony, resulting in a refined, vibrant white wine with a distinct Burgundian profile.
