Since the late 19th century, this corner of the Highlands has thrived to the rhythm of the cold waters of the Alt-na-Frith burn, the gentle barley, and an understanding of time that is never rushed. Here, whisky is not hastened; it is nurtured.
 
This single malt, born in 2006, is part of a broader narrative: one of a distillation that first matures in Scotland and then embarks on a second chapter far from home. Tomatin 2006 Madeira Cask Colección Portuguesa 15 Y.O. is part of The Portuguese Collection, a limited edition series dedicated to and inspired by Portuguese wines. After spending 8 years in traditional oak casks for Scotch whisky, the spirit journeys to barrels that have housed Madeira wines, where it resides for an additional 7 years, acquiring a warmer, more expressive texture as it unfolds.
 
The result is a profile that unfurls with grace: honey and lemon at the outset, transitioning smoothly to butter toffee and baked apple, with a deeper backdrop where molasses emerges.
