About Pardas Sumollades Magnum

There are wines that not only tell a story but become its liquid memory. Pardas Sumollades Magnum emerges as an act of love and farewell: the final breath of a century-old vineyard, the vineyard of l’Ametller, which offered its fruit for the last time in a rugged corner of Penedès, where a majestic almond tree watched over the vines and a water reservoir provided sustenance for the wild boars.
 
Celler Pardas, founded by Ramon Parera and Jordi Arnan, viticulturists by heart and profession, is much more than a winery: it is a commitment to the land and authenticity. Since 1996, they have cultivated their estate Can Comas (Penedès, Barcelona), with a radical sensitivity towards the environment, respecting natural rhythms and avoiding any artificial intervention that disrupts the harmony of the landscape.
 
Produced solely from sumoll of an almost extinct vineyard, planted in 1959 on limestone soils marked by rhizoconcretions (subsoil formations shaped over time by the roots of vegetation), this red wine is a living rarity. It was fermented with its skins for 26 days and aged in used barrels and stainless steel for just over half a year, bottled exclusively in magnum format: 403 unique bottles that capture the essence of the ephemeral with a direct and luminous energy.
 
Every sip of Pardas Sumollades Magnum is a tribute to the fragility of life and the beauty of what is fleeting.
